Staples JCIs hold 'Boolaween' Oct. 28
The JCI Staples Chapter held its annual Boowlaween Event at the Wadena Lanes & Pro Shop on Saturday, Oct. 28. More than 120 children and parents attended the event at the bowling alley and participated in the costume contest, a game of bowling, pumpkin coloring and Halloween candy. Participants who bowled a strike received a prize!
There was a total of 60 entries in the Costume Contest. Costume Contest winners were: Adult category-Karen McCabe dressed as a Clown; Up to 3rd Grade category- 1st place was Icen Renalds as a Kissing Booth, 2nd place was Kerek Gonzalez as Freddy Kruger, 3rd place was Brynlee Hansen as Monster High Draculaura; 4th Grade and Older Category- 1st place was Tiana Gonzalez as little girl mummy, 2nd place was Destiny Dukowitz as a Devil, 3rd place was Kadin Ottomoeller as a black cat.
A huge thank you to all the local businesses and individuals that made the event possible with their donations: Wadena Lanes & Pro Shop; Costume Contest prizes were donated by-Merickel Lumber, Super One Foods, Maslowski Wellness & Research Center, Cozy Theatre, The BBQ Smokehouse and Wadena Lanes & Pro Shop; Strike Prizes were donated by- Moto City Raceway, McDonalds, Wadena Lanes & Pro Shop and Burger King; The pumpkins were donated by Tim Leach and Bev Dolezal. The JCI Staples Chapter would like to thank everybody who attended the event and made it a success.
The JCI Staples Chapter donated a bowling ramp to the Wadena Lanes & Pro Shop as an aid for the children who were bowling.
