Public meeting planned Oct. 30 for return of 2 sex offenders to Wadena
A meeting is planned to notify the community about two Level 3 sex offenders returning to live in Wadena in November.
According to Minnesota Statute 244.052, the Wadena Police Department is releasing information regarding Timothy G. Bungert and Adam Levi Schultz, Level 3 registrants subject to public notification. They will be moving to Wadena on Nov. 1 and Nov. 5, 2018. Both have served the sentence imposed on them by the court, and are transitioning into the community.
A community notification meeting has been scheduled for 6 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 30 at the Wadena Fire Hall / Wadena Police Department, 121 Colfax Ave SE, in Wadena. Representatives from the Department of Corrections and the Wadena Police Department will be available to provide you with useful information on public safety.
Bungert, 36, is a Level 3 registered offender convicted of solicitation of children to engage in sexual conduct; communication of sexually explicit materials to children in 2014 and has violated the requirement to register as a sex offender multiple times.
Schultz was convicted in 2013 of possession of pornographic work involving minors and most recently was convicted in January 2018 of knowingly violating his registration requirement or intentionally providing false information.
